Chacaltaya

Once the world's highest ski resort, situated just 35 km / 22 miles from La Paz and at an altitude of 5,350 m / 17,540 ft (no longer operational). It offers a breathtaking panorama, capturing vast expanses of the Andean highlands, parts of Lake Titicaca, and the stunning Royal Range of the Andes. During Bolivia's winter or colder months (June to August), there is minimal snow, hence snow and ice are compact. Beginning near Milluni at 4,300 masl/14,100 ft, we'll embark on a 2-hour e-bike ride to the summit of Chacaltaya (5,300 masl/17,390 ft.). Awaiting us are spectacular vistas of the Andes, El Alto, and La Paz!
